Locals dot Tulare-Kings football roster

HANFORD -- The West Team at the 41st annual Tulare-Kings All Star football game will be represented well by local talent. Avenal, Corcoran, Hanford, Hanford West, Kings Christian, Laton and Lemoore High will combine to place 14 players on the West roster.

Game time is slated for 8 p.m. on Friday at Bob Mathias Stadium in Tulare.

Avenal's Ily Lopez and Jose Rangel, Corcoran's Terrence Bluford, Darren Jones and Enrique Romero, Hanford's Richard Davis, Brad Putnam and Josh Womack, Hanford West's C.J. Costello and Josh Chavez, Kings Christian's Jarrett Brooks, Laton's Vidal Murillo and Lemoore's Eric Aviles, Joe Jones and Grey Tompkins will team with players from Coalinga, Delano, Dinuba, Immanuel, Kingsburg, McFarland, Reedley, Tulare Union and Tulare Western.

The West squad is coached by Tulare Union's Darren Bennett.

The East team is guided by Strathmore's Jeromy Blackwell and comprised of players from Central Valley Christian, El Diamante, Exeter, Farmersville, Golden West, Granite Hills, Lindsay, Monache, Mt. Whitney, Orosi, Porterville, Redwood, Strathmore and Woodlake.

Tickets can be purchased at Frank's Liquor Superette in Visalia, Lonnie's Auto Parts in Woodlake and Lemoore Hardware.
